Objective

Even though I am no longer a candidate for public office, I still plan to stay engaged in the political arena. Republicans may have gained control of the North Carolina General Assembly but there is still a lot of work to be done. It is imperative that the newly-elected Republican majority stay true to their campaign promises of smaller of government, less spending, and lower taxes.

Furthermore, it is up to private citizens such as you and I to keep an eye on public officials to ensure that they are doing what is in our best interest. For that reason, I am going to focus my energy on observing what happens with our government as we move forward. I will update my blog on a regular basis and I will continue to send email updates. Now that Republicans are in the majority in the North Carolina Legislature, they have a real chance to make some positive changes. But they MUST stay true to their principles of limited government, less spending, and lower taxes. If the Republicans stay true to their values, I have no doubt that we will see a brighter future in North Carolina. But it's up to you and me to keep them accountable.
